A NEW CHAPTER

Hello!

I hope you’re well and staying toasty warm. I have exciting (and sad) news!

I have been playing with the idea of stepping into full-time work for a little while now and only a few weeks ago accepte a position working in admin/health promotion.  Everything has happened so incredibly quickly and after being in the role for the past week I'm very excited to report that I love it!  I work with an amazing team, I'm learning so much and am super passionate about the work I'm involved in.

The sad news is that I don’t feel that I can quite juggle the new position and teaching yoga. At least for a bit.

I will still be available for photography sessions but for the moment won't be taking on any active roles in yoga teaching, massage or birth support. 

Know that I will dearly miss each and every one of you and that no class has gone by where I haven’t felt so deeply privileged that you might share your time and yoga journeys with me. 

I definitely DO feel that I will return to teaching yoga and I promise that you will be the first to know when I do. I feel so very grateful and humbled to be invited into your lives, homes and hearts over the past 10 years. Thank you.

The Birthing Tree is dedicated to providing holistic pregnancy, birth and family options within the community and offers a variety of means to educate, support and celebrate the lives of women and their families. 

The Birthing Tree is located in Canberra but I am always open to traveling into surrounding areas, interstate and internationally! Just contact me to chat about your specific needs!

"Dani’s energy is infectious!"

Dani is a fantastic yoga teacher and makes us all feel comfortable and at ease with our changing bodies through her brilliant classes. The classes suit all stages of pregnancy and for anyone no matter what their yoga level is. I have done a variety of different yoga classes before I was pregnant and out of all of them this is one of the best I’ve done. Dani brings a beautiful energy and vibe to the class which is probably what makes her classes stand out. The classes are calming yet energising.

Within her prenatal classes, there is a strong emphasis on allowing one’s own body to guide your practice. Dani’s classes offer the space for you flow into a confident, healthy, strong and empowered pregnancy and birth. Highly recommended!

​"Awesome Yoga Class and Instructor!"

I joined prenatal yoga in my 22nd week of pregnancy, thinking I would be lucky if I lasted one class. I’m not one for quiet time or me time, I’m more of a martial arts fan and loud kind of person. After my first class I signed up for the rest and even got a friend from work to join the next week. Price was great, instructor (Dani) is wonderful, explaining things so you don’t feel like an idiot and she knows what she is talking about. I will be going to her classes from now on and most likely after bubs is here too. Best thing was it gave me time to focus on me, how I am feeling and get in touch with my baby. Thanks Dani!

​"Perfect for Mums to be"

Danielle has been a very supportive coach and mentor to mums to be. Her approach is encouraging, patient and responsive to her class' changing needs. Danielle provides a range of moves in each of her classes and offers additional support and resources to maximise the effectiveness of each position. She also checks in with the state of each mum and is flexible in terms of her expectations. Danielle’s class has been a time which I have really looked forward to and on finishing, have very much enjoyed.

​"Best Prenatal Exercise Class"

I was persuaded by a colleague to give Dani's prenatal yoga class a go.........I had never done yoga before, other than the occasional Body Balance class at the gym and was a little skeptical. After the first class I am hooked! I love the classes, they are relaxing, calming and yet give you a good workout and wonderful stretch at the same time. Dani is a fantastic instructor and I will definitely continue with her classes for the rest of my pregnancy and recommend her highly!

"I strongly commend Dani to other women seeking to have a positive birth experience"

It was fear of interventions, episiotomy in particular, and the evidence that having a doula decreases the chance of ending up with one, that led me to seek out a doula while pregnant with my first child.

 After reading about natural birth, I had a strong desire to have, as much as possible, an active labour free of interventions. And, as my husband and I have no family living locally, we thought we could do with as much support in this as possible.

Dani was key to our having a wonderful birth. She was by our side during the whole labour in hospital, tirelessly encouraging me with a positive, kind, calm, and reassuring presence that gave me the confidence to trust in my body and labour actively. It was this support that buoyed my courage, and helped me to push through the fatigue and pain to have the joyous, natural birth I had hoped for, completely according to my wishes and luckily, without even a nick or tear.

"Great prenatal yoga class"

Dani offers a great class which is gentle enough for people who might have never done yoga before or do not exercise on a regular basis, yet the poses offered also have the flexibility to be challenging for those who are experienced yoga students.
Dani also offers very practical techniques and suggestions which we can incorporate into our daily life to maintain our physical health and well-being both during and after pregnancy, and is very down to earth, relaxing and friendly as an instructor. I would strongly recommend this class to any pregnant woman.
